HP will invest $300 million in the next year in a global marketing campaign meant to support a new product and service strategy around its printing business and to encourage consumers and businesses alike to do more printing. The company will launch a marketing blitz to support what it's calling "Print 2.0," a strategy that includes new printing technology, Web-based printing services, and partnerships and alliances meant to offer more printing options to consumer and business customers.

So now HP will have a reason to make printer drivers that are even more invasive than they are today! HP printer software is insane! It creates dialogues with the printer to determine if media is in it, what the ink level is, and other inane information, and it sucks up unreasonable PC resources to accomplish these stupid tasks. On top of this they make it almost impossible to configure the printers without all this junk.
I can only imagine what kind of resource hog Printing 2.0 will be!
