The widescale deployment of broadband
access, combined with intensified competition
among communications, entertainment and
technology firms, is likely transform
current e-business models in the coming year, according to a
study released Monday by Ernst & Young and
Cap Gemini Ernst & Young.


"Broadband connectivity will be the tide that lifts all ships," said the
report, adding that it stands to "fundamentally reshape the way content can
be delivered and stored."

I agree with the study results. Currently, many applience firms in the world have finished or almost finished the development of home appliences which have ability to access Intenet with technologies such as one chip. For example, In Asia, Samsung, LG, and Sony announced that they established partnerships with other thrid parties to develop Internet access technologies for appliences which they will produce in the near future.

This net access tech. will change our lives extremely, but I think the kind of changes would nto come right now because of switching costs.

Anyway, the tide is coming definitely.
