Last week was one of those weeks on the Linux blogs where every thread seems to boil down to the same message, as if coordinated by invisible cosmic forces. Fedora 9 was unleashed, of course, bringing joy to the hearts of many. Perhaps more notable than the details of the release itself, however, was its timing. Specifically, it hasn't escaped the notice of astute Linux bloggers that Fedora 9, Ubuntu Hardy Heron and OpenSuSE 11 have all arrived in remarkably quick succession. Indeed, Ubuntu's Mark Shuttleworth even just sounded a call for coordinated release cycles among the major Linux distros.

Its good idea at least major Linux distros will follow some uniqueness in Lovely Linux OS to love more people. I am also one of the fans of Linux. Let me share my experience. I tried one small exercise at my home PC. For this I make more than 20 partitions on HDD including one swap partition. Downloaded LiveCD images and tried to install more than 15 Linux flavors. Hardly I was able to install 8 to 9 flavors. I passed through few troubles like:
1) 2 of them were not able to install on HDD because of more than 15 partitions.
2) Due to screen resolution rate of frequency, I was not able to test flavors of Linux LiveCD. (for this I purchased new 19 inch LCD monitor, still problem was remains)
3) After installation few flavors was not able to find previous installed flavors (They don’t have smart lookup for existing GRUB Boot Loader)
4) Most of the installed flavors was not satisfied my basic requirements. In some flavor I was not able to play audio/video; if it was so then I was not satisfied with office tool etc.
Like this non of all satisfied me and most of the time I use non Linux OS. Still I am looking forward to any Linux flavor which will be fulfilling my satisfaction.
Thanx
