Looking back at last week, it was a combination of news from the past and news from the future. Starting out the week, we had the EU ruling come down against Microsoft. I think if the company is smart, it can play this to its advantage and actually benefit from the ruling. What took up most of my week was the Intel Developer Forum which, like most events of its type, exists one or two years in the future. There were a number of interesting things out of IDF, but two that could change the world as we know it were Larrabee and the advent of the 3-D Web.

Intel is dreaming of doing graphics. According to Businessweek and AMD, Intel can't even play the Sims kids game very well. How on earth will they do high end graphics?
