If John McCain wanted a strong woman on his side, he couldn't have done much better than Carly Fiorina, the former CEO of HP who has recently been making a name for herself on the political scene. Fiorina has been serving as an economic adviser and advocate for the McCain campaign, and there have been rumors that she is a vice-presidential hopeful. In March of this year she was appointed to serve as the Victory Chairman for the Republican National Committee.

I am in disbelief that anyone would be so impressed with a business woman who single handedly destroyed Compaq and almost distroyed HP. Both have been suffering for years ....they will never regain their name value.

I am simply amazed that tech news world would have an article like this. During her tenure with HP, Carly Fiorina started a process that caused the Corvallis Oregon plant to go from 10,000 workers to the present 3,000. The only "winner" was the Oregon department of Employment since they got a huge federal grant to assuage the effects of a massive layoff due to the offshoring of technical jobs. Do you really think women are so stupid that they will line up and vote for a woman without examining her record?
