The independent, open-source KDE Project today announced the availability of KDE 3.3.2, a maintenance release for its latest, most advanced free desktop suite for GNU/Linux and other UNIX systems.

KDE 3.3.2 ships with a basic desktop and eighteen other packages including administration, network, edu-tainment, utilities, multimedia, games, artwork, and Web development. It is a maintenance release that incorporates corrections of an earlier version reported using the KDE bug tracking system.

The group's latest release also offers enhanced support for existing and new translations. KDE's tools and applications are available in 52 languages, including including Afrikaans and Gaelic.

KDE, including all its libraries and its applications, is available for free under open-source licenses. The system can be obtained in source and numerous binary formats from the KDE Web site and can also be obtained on CD-ROM or with any of the major GNU/Linux-UNIX systems shipping currently.
