Stock Watch: DoubleClick Rises on Analyst Recommendations

DoubleClick Inc. (Nasdaq: DCLK) rose 4 1/16 to 37 13/16 Tuesday following reports that analysts were favorably impressed by comments company officials made in a meeting Monday.

Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and Credit Suisse First Boston reportedly repeated strong buy recommendations on the Internet advertiser after the meeting.

Along with those of other companies in the online ad industry, DoubleClick shares fell last week as several firms issued warnings that earnings for the quarter ending this month will be hurt by client spending cutbacks.
