Drkoop.com, Inc. (Nasdaq: KOOP) rose 15/16 to 2 23/32 Tuesday after announcing a two-year sponsorship agreement with online caregiver community Webofcare.com, Inc.
The agreement includes a fixed sponsorship payment to Drkoop.com along with a revenue-sharing agreement based on Webofcare.com’s e-commerce offerings. The company did not say how much money it expects to get from the alliance.
Drkoop.com said it will create a new “Caregiver Center” featuring content fromWebofcare, which provides specialized information on 26 health conditions. The site will give instructions for at-home caregivers on such tasks as feeding and diapering, as well as articles reviewed by Webofcare’s board of doctors, nurses and therapists. The new center will be online in mid-July, Drkoop.com said.
