Stock Watch: Fatbrain Cruises After Forming Apple Store rose 13/16 to close Monday at 5 5/16 after announcing it has created an online documentation store to serve Apple Computer developers worldwide.

The Santa Clara, California-based Fatbrain has similar stores for such hardware manufacturers as IBM, Novell, Inc. and Palm, Inc.

“We eliminated Apple’s corporate publishing pain by providing them with the means to leverage our Web, production and distribution expertise to deliver up-to-date documentation to their worldwide developer base in a quick and efficient manner,” said Fatbrain President and Chief Operating Officer Dennis Capovilla.

While Apple’s developer documentation continues to be available for free download from Apple, technical publications may now be printed on demand and shipped directly to the customer from Fatbrain.
