Shares of Learn2.com (Nasdaq: LTWO), a provider of e-learning solutions that sells tutorials on its Web site, soared more than 63 percent on Tuesday, climbing 1-15/16 to close at 4-31/32 after the company announced that it has expanded its courseware offerings to include the Linux market. Learn2.com will create multimedia learning titles that will be delivered on the Web, as well as on corporate intranets, CD-ROMs and video.
Learn2.com is promoting its new Linux tutorials by offering its Learning Linux video to customers for free (with a shipping charge) through January 15th. This offer is well and good, but investors need to realize that Learn2.com is not a Linux company. Learn2.com is just a company that makes tutorials.
