Stock Watch: New Search Technology Boosts Go2Net

Go2Net.com (Nasdaq: GNET) rose 9 9/16 to 45 9/16 Thursday after its Authorize.Net Corp. subsidiary announced a new search engine submission technology to help online merchants launch their businesses.

The technology automatically submits a merchant’s Web site to more than 1,500 search engines, and also continuously manages the site’s presence on them. It incorporates any changes in listing methodology of any of the engines and resubmits Web sites on a monthly basis, which the company says boosts a site’s presence and ranking in search results.
