Stock Watch: Upbeat Forecast Lifts Network Commerce

Network Commerce Inc. (Nasdaq: NWKC) was up 3/8 at 6 5/16 early Monday after the company, which provides software and support to companies engaging in e-commerce, said it expects to beat analysts’ forecasts when it reports third quarter results October 23rd.

The Seattle, Washington-based company, which serves both the consumer and business markets, said it expects revenue to top $30 million in the quarter, with gross margins above 50 percent. The pro forma loss per share will be smaller than in the previous quarter, Network Commerce said.

Analysts were expecting the company to lose 29 to 30 cents per share in the current quarter.
